Recce Shot - Indoors

Before filming for our first band shot with our location as the media class room, we had to a lot of preparation setting up. This included blacking out the room by using the back black curtain and putting up black material on the sides and walls. This took approximately an hour before getting everything correct. We also had to set up tri pods, cameras and lights and band members. This was long winded but we were able to do this. One of the bad points about this for our location is that on camera the room layout comes across shallow and a struggle to use a lot of the camera angles we had planned on using e.g. low shot.

This is what our location looks like before the start of setting up. It was a struggle to get rid of all the tables and unwanted furniture, however once this was done it was fun experimenting with the structure of the room and how we could use it. Luckily the room is quite dark already and came with a black curtain., this meant we only needed to cover up the side walls. From this angle the room looks deeper than it actually is so this is an effective angle we could use for filming.
